I was having a decent time with this demo, there were a few things that didn't make sense, didn't go anywhere, or were easily overlooked causing pointless wandering. The end was unsatisfying for me as well.
I kinda forgot this was a pt/demo during play so if you do watch my playthrough please keep in mind the criticism I gave was towards what I thought was a FULL release lol. That being said I think the criticism could still be helpful in producing a more finished version. I won't get into much detail here but I really just felt like the environment was against me/didn't want me to progress. Regardless of all that I still appreciate all the effort that went into making the game and I am still glad to have played it. Thank you!
Man, I'll follow! I loved your voice and your poetry, serious! You should make lyrics to darkness games in cutscene and intro and outro. Cool. I will download and record some video after watch you, buddy! Nice lyric and gameplay. :D Forgive me about my awful english. :)
It is a cool concept and graphics are very good and I love that you can freely rotate the documents but the game is way too dark and buggy. There are a lot of bugs like floating rocks, clipping text, papers not showing, places where you can get stuck in just by walking and have to restart the game etc. The objective is unclear, the first door is annoying to unlock because you cant see the lock without increasing the gamma. It took me and my friend 15 min to find the key. Its really hard to see the difference between the places where you can go and places where is the barrier.
As has been previously said by other reviewers, not a bad demo so far! It's a pretty cool proof of concept, and I know other people have mentioned some issues with the locks and such, but I actually liked it. It gave me old-school point-and-click adventure game vibes for some reason, what with needing to actually interact with the bolts on doors and specifically with the knobs to get things to work. I'm really looking forward to more of that, actually! Great work so far, bro!
Hey damnedbroke, thanks for yet another game! It had great visuals for only being a demo and the ambiance is on point too, to me it lacked a bit more of jumpscares that hopefully the full game will have. I had issues with most of the controls for the game, it was very hard to see the lock for the door and on the last one my key couldn´t open it. I´m very excited to play the full game though and come face to face with the SCP 049. Keep up the amazing work!
Not a bad demo so far. There's really not much happening in it but the one scare in there was kind of effective. It could end up being a fun game if you give it the amount of love it needs to get there.
The atmosphere was great! The art-style and graphics were really good too!
I had a few issues with some of the smaller mechanisms to progress, like the tiny lock on the door, which is practically invisible if you turn off the torch which you can not reignite haha. Perhaps a flashlight would serve well in this demo. And then the fact that you have to left-click to use items, like when unlocking the locked door.
What I liked the most was the subtle scares from afar! Great work with that!
Other than that, it was really a fun demo, and I hope to see the full release in the near future!
The game has a load of potential but obviously needs a lot more work, it would be good to see more scares and lots more atmosphere, don't take offensive as I couldn't make a better game myself haha and its a demo so its all progress!
